Adventures in Mexico
6-23
Hola! Welcome to the first blog of: Adventures in Mexico!
I am so excited to be here with my team from my SOMD in YWAM Louisville.
Among the adventures we will embark on here in Mexico, I am most excited to share about what relationship with God looks like with those who have never heard or known. My team and I are super excited to share the Gospel and God's heart with the people here in Monterrey, Mexico!
What's been happening?
We arrived last Friday and have been doing ministry prep for our coming weeks here in Monterrey.
Sunday we went to church and got to be a part of Mexican worship! It was beautiful to hear God being worshipped in another language.
This is Audrey. Here we are eating some bean, lettuce, and cheese tostadas.
Our hosts make us 3 meals a day! They have been killing it!
Quick tip: Watch your footwork when you play basketball, or you may end up with a sprained foot!
While it's been a challenge being on crutches during our first days in Mexico, my Heavenly Father has been teaching me what it looks like to lean on Him for strength and to trust my team to care of me in this season. A verse He has been speaking to me in this season is Psalm 57:1. Check it out!
What's next?
Mission Adventures starts next week! Wohoo! We are so excited for the participants to come and to lead them in discipleship!
What is Mission Adventures?
Well, let me tell ya! Mission adventures is a really cool opportunity where teenagers, from the U.S., get a taste of missions by ministering to the lost and the least through creative ministry and through sharing the Gospel!
Needless to say, we are hype.
And we are so expectant for how God will move through our willingness and obedience. We are excited to teach and lead these teenagers in relationship with God and in outreach to the lost.
It is so evident that God is going before us and preparing people's hearts to receive His love and to hear the Gospel!
So, with that, please get hype with me!
Here's some ways you can pray!:
-Pray for continued boldness and unity for our team.
-Pray that we would listen to the Lord's leading and that we would obey in everything.
-Pray for the MA participants coming! That they would step out in faith, grow in discipleship and relationship with God, and that they would be bold in sharing Jesus with the lost.
-Prayers for continued health and provision for our team!
Thanks for scrolling! It means so much to have you on my team!
Be blessed and share His light today!
Adios!
~Ash
