Life In Louisville

Well, it's true!

There IS a correct pronunciation of the word "Louisville".

Will I get it right? Time will tell :)

I've really been enjoying my time here in Kentucky! I've loved exploring the Louisville coffee shops and parks and I've loved being a part of a YWAM community again!

Quick recap: I am taking YWAM Louisville's School of Ministry Development (SOMD). This school has a lecture phase and outreach portion and is 5 and 1/2 months long! In a nutshell, this school is equipping me with leadership skills to implement in my daily life that I can use to start my own ministry one day.

A Look Into Life in Louisville:

This is my school!

Getting to do life with them in this season rocks!
Each one is unique and challenges me in different ways by showing me what it looks like to live and to love and to pursue God.

Building relationships!

This is Catherine.
She is warm hearted and a fun friend to talk to and be around!
Fun fact: she is one of 13 in her family!

This is Emillie.
I've enjoyed getting to know her!
Her heart to share Jesus with others inspires me.
She lights up whenever she talks about Him.

These are some cool pals (Tiara, Catherine, and Marny).
They took me out for Thai food on my birthday

These ladies have such a heart to stir one another up in love (Heb. 10:24).
It amazes me!

Local Ministry

Every Saturday, my local outreach team and I go downtown Louisville to minister to the homeless community or we will go to the park to pray and look for opportunities to share Jesus with people

Worship & prayer

We have regular times of worship to God and prayer for the nations.
It's such a cool time where we get to connect with Him and ask for His heart for the world and how we should pray.

I'm super thankful for this season where I get to grow, learn, and be challenged with a community that fiercely pursues God and is hungry for growth!

I'm excited to see what God has in store in these next few weeks as we have classes and as we prepare for our outreaches.

Stay tuned :)

Be blessed and share His light today!

Dear Mimi,

My, oh my, there is so much to tell you! Aside from the lovely cardinals, blue jays, and flowers that surround where I live, there are some pretty cool people I wish I could tell you about. This school is really opening my eyes to the heart of Jesus and it is showing me more and more that He is Who He says He is and that He is totally trustworthy. I am getting so excited as I think about missions and how God is going to guide and move through my school on outreach and beyond! Mimi, God is making Himself known in the nations and He is moving mightily all across the world and that is something to rejoice about!

I've also been thinking lately about your attitude of gratitude and I've been able to share some of your legacy with some of the girls here. I love bragging about you! One of our friends here put it simply: "pursue gratitude."

I miss you like crazy. Until heaven.
